It’s really hard to like this city sometimes. The Beltline publishes the results of their transit study about light rail, and then the CEO goes and totally trashes it the following week. Atlanta politicians seem to always fail this city.

I’m not against cars. I own one. But we need to make it much, much easier, pleasant, and safer to walk, bike, or take transit than it is to drive somewhere by myself in an empty car. And there’s no way to do that without making some drivers angry. Thankfully, more and more drivers understand.

Imagine if "combating homelessness" meant housing people, not brutalizing and disappearing them.

This app from the Cycling Guide Foundation looks to be EXACTLY what I want!! It’s only available in parts of Canada, but I’d be curious to see how adaptable this could be for Atlanta.

The inability for American sports to actually start at the posted time is so annoying

Trading a kid who’s grown up in your academy system to a team in another country when that kid has one year left in a degree he obviously wants to complete is incredibly shitty. I get this is a business and the team is trying to win, but I refuse to believe there isn’t a better, kinder way to do so.

I rarely use the Discover feed because I usually stick to the Following feed and personally-curated list feeds. I would use Discover so much more if there was an option to not show things from accounts I follow. I’ve already seen it all so it feels useless to see half of it again!

As a young person who wasn’t around and aware during Keith Parker’s time heading MARTA this just opens my eyes to how poor of a job Collie Greenwood is doing and how much better we could have and should expect from our transit leaders.
