If people started using crypto to avoid this tax and lawmakers tried to close the loophole with unconstitutional restrictions on speech and software publication we'd happily fight it out in the courts.

The proposed 5% remittance tax in the āBig Beautiful Tax Billā does not apply to crypto transactions sent from self custody. And may not apply to transactions sent from hosted wallet providers either. New from Coin Center:

ādecentralizationā can be a scary word but eg look at custom feeds instead of our own blackbox algorithm, weāre turning it over to third-party users to create a marketplace of feeds that anyone can subscribe to. for us, third-party should feel as seamless as first-party ā thatās decentralization

Dearest mutuals, How are things back home? We hear that the kingās actions grow more vile, and the new aristocracy he has empowered are cruel. It is a wild but hopeful land here. Many have made the trip over. We still cannot block, which engenders much unpleasantness, but also opportunity.
