The Sleeper Issue That Could Destroy the Economy
Trump may have stopped threatening Jerome Powell—but he’s still got designs to control the Fed.

Democrats would be crazy not to make this comment super-famous tomorrow when the Senate debates health care. Republicans don’t want you to be cared for as a patient when you’re sick. They think of you as a “consumer”—and tough luck if you don’t have the money for the care you need.

It's not a question of politics or party. Congress has a constitutional obligation to impeach and to remove a president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors and forsakes his solemn oath. And there has never been a president who has committed as many impeachable offenses than this one.

Republicans use the "I'm not familiar with that" dodge several times a day now, and if a reporters or anchor isn't ready and willing to shut them down as soon as they try it, that means they're either incompetent at their job or a willing accomplice to the lies. Either way, never trust them again.

How low we have sunk as a country. The US Department of Defense is now run by a rabid war criminal. Ordering the execution of helpless survivors of an attack is ALWAYS a war crime, whether they civilian or military. Pure, mindless, barbarism.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes. If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.

This is a good line and the key point to be amplifying: "What’s most telling is that the President considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law." Keep shining a bright light on Trump's violent lawlessness.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is because Intuit, Inc. gave Donald Trump $1,000,000 for his "inauguration." Intuit owns Turbo Tax, which makes money off charging taxpayers to file their returns. The corruption is rampant and in plain sight.

I have one slight disagreement with this post. There is at least one story bigger than that of a president instigating a plot to end U.S. democracy. And that is the story that a president is instigating his *second* plot to end U.S. democracy.

Democrats should be drawing up legislation right now, this very minute, to bar Trump from helping himself to $230 million in taxpayer funds from DOJ. Challenge Republicans to hold a vote on it. Push this so hard in the media that every GOP Senate and House candidate is pressed to comment on it.
