It's funny how the previous two Nick presidents opened their own production studios after they left Nick, and I was wondering if Cyma's MIMO Studios ever took off after 6 years of radio silence, and surely enough, there's a new animated movie (based on children's books) coming later this month.

I guess I liked the Godfather slightly more than Peter Griffin did, but that’s not saying much. (I do judge movies based on how long it is. It was okay, but it could’ve been shorter)

This guy doesn’t turn 40 until the summer and man, he looks like a fucking elder. Even when I grew up watching him on Disney Channel, he always gave me off vibes since his character Louis Stevens was obnoxious (making him one of the most unbearable actors to come out of Nick or Disney).

The last season of FOP and Bunsen share the same writers and outside of Ray DeLaurentis and the script coordinators, they were otherwise known for writing on sitcoms and didn’t had any animation experience at the time. Does not help that one of them is the wife of FOP writer Will Schifrin.

It’s more ironic since the creators of RPS made a Disney Channel sitcom 10 years ago and the two female leads are still good friends. Mind you, that show had Jake Paul (I doubt they even talk to him anymore because he’s toxic as fuck) and it’s accused as Disney’s answer to iCarly.

As I told you a couple weeks before, I am now posting anniversary of Nickelodeon episodes (typically for the Nicktoons although I’ll do some for Nickcoms if necessary) because NickCrave barely have anything to talk about in this dry spell of exciting news.

It’s Mario month and now would be a perfect time to replay the classic 2D games + Yoshi’s Island to prepare for the Galaxy movie. And I hate to admit this, but I still haven’t played the Galaxy games. I would like to play it on an emulator though.

I'd love to see more indie animation as well, but these "fans" seem to think that broke animators can snap their fingers and the next Helluva Boss will suddenly appear. And then they'll turn on them like a rabid hyena the second their show becomes popular.

Animation "fans" will keep screaming "go indie" at animators and creators, but then will harass, bully, and smear them and become the most toxic MFers on social media.

Creators shouldn't give up or stop creating even when the industry is in a dark place. The world needs cartoons, and the enemy only wins when the cartoons stop.

Normalize saying “this isnt for me” and then have the maturity to move on.

It implies that animation is are automatically bad when whoever is working on it puts their life experience into the cartoon, when what really matters is whether or not this creative decision translates to an engaging experience.

I will say this, though: calling a cartoon in this style “Tumblr-brained” as a way of explaining why you don’t enjoy it will not earn you any respect in my house.

I don’t dislike the thin outline style of animation in-of itself, just the way it was abused as a shortcut - to the point where we don’t get many cartoons that don’t utilize that style nowadays out of fear of creating anything animation “critics” will call “mean-spirited.”

The U.S. animation studios all began believing that every single cartoon needed to have noodle proportions and/or overly emotional stories in order to be good, unaware that both elements also need to be done,…you know,..well.

Finally, someone who gets it. The thin outline aesthetic CAN result in a good cartoon; the issue is that it got overused to the point where the average American animation studio executive didn’t understand what could make it appealing.

Imagine going from the voice of a Disney character and playing a DCU character to a right wing Sinners ripoff with a rapist as your co-star.

The people ruining everything for us will eventually fall. It might be to age, or illness, or prison, or even a violent uprising of those they wronged, but they WILL fall. I intend to be around when that happens. Hopefully, you’ll be around too.
