Developers will focus squarely on where land is already extremely expensive and ignore where they can build a shitty building for pennies on the dollar if we just get those stubborn NIMBYs to stop blocking housing. Slumlords will keep prices low if we ask them very nicely to respect the poors!

Until ppl are ready to engage with anti-capitalist rhetoric this conversation will go nowhere. The ppl who live relatively comfortable lives in this system are in no rush to dismantle it and they believe if they just ask nicely, the big banks will be nice to poor ppl.

Out of all the zines I've made so far this one is my favorite. I feel like we don't talk about Black Southern Gothic enough. And as a horror fan and a Black femme from the south this was my way of honoring the genre and the Black folks that have created Black Southern Gothic books & movies.

Here's a thread of my zine series so far which is issues 1-4: Issue one is a zine about my backstory, and the reason I created Lost & Found Black Child. It also includes collages of 90s media (Super Mario, Rugrats, Power Rangers)
