Took the kids to the apple festival today. Got a bunch of honeycrisp, enjoyed the fun and then came home and made a baked Brie and charcuterie board with our apples :)

This might be my favorite brand of cider. They do seasonal ciders. Usually I can only find 1 kind each season. Last year was a maple cider, for summer a watermelon and now it’s a chai. Highly recommend if you can find it. It’s also a local cider, made just a ferry ride away.

I got my copy of baking yesteryear and my god I love this book. There are several things I make on a regular basis at work(ambrosia, jello poke cake, etc) and it is a joy to see in a modern cookbook. The continental johnny cake is the first thing I’ve gotten to make and it’s flipping gorgeous!
