Was die USA fordern, empfinden viele Ukrainerinnen und Ukrainer als würdelos. Viele Punkte entsprechen den Maximalforderungen Russlands. So würde sich der Kreml auch in Zukunft Einfluss auf die Ukraine sichern. Selenskyj spricht von einem der schwierigsten Momente in der ukrainischen Geschichte.

Das Hauptdilemma für die Ukraine: Der Plan ist nicht akzeptabel und hätte in vielem längerfristig eine riesige innengesellschaftliche Zerstörungskraft. Genau das, was Russland sich erhofft, denn Moskau setzt bei der Zerstörung der Ukraine bei weitem nicht nur auf die militärische Karte.
