I don’t think I’ll ever be over Macho Grande. Decatur, GA
Last night’s Falcons win gives me another chance to say that “games won after elimination” should at least in part determine draft order.

Very flatulent very competent spymaster. I already eat like crap and have an acerbic tongue so I’m most of the way there.

We’ve been watching The Good Wife and there was a deportation storyline from like 2009-10 that said the person was held at Broadview and that had a much different meaning today than it ever would’ve meant 15 years ago.

Weird how Man City always seem to get the benefit of that “didn’t want to ruin the game” sending off. Almost like they take advantage of it by cheating more at the beginning of each half.

City should be down to 10 but they’re up 1-0 instead because of weak kneed, probably paid by Abu Dhabi refereeing.

Reverse searing a tri-tip and grilling chicken in my shorts drinking a Modelo and it was 78 degrees today. Am I in Atlanta or Patagonia?

If this game ends 3-0, Notre Dame gets to play Ohio State. That’s the new rule.

I hope these teams are having fun out there and getting some exercise. That’s about all it seems like they can do.

College Gameday haters focus on McAfee but I don’t think he’s the worst part. Dude’s a carnival barker. He does his job: to work the crowd not provide info. The worst part of Gameday, to me, is now Saban. His occasional insights are overwhelmed by personal biases. And he comes off as a real asshole.

I think it’s nice that Bama’s OL can both hold with impunity and also gets a half-second head start. They’re good boys and they deserve a treat.

I hope they got the god Chris Thrash to program the Rockafire Explosion. The best to ever do it. He made the canonical official video for “love in this club”

1) I see the Falcons have started their usual “start winning games once you’re out of contention” routine. 2) Good: they already traded their top pick, so winning meaningless games won’t hurt themselves. 3) Bad: ownership gets to delude themselves about momentum & bring back people they shouldn’t.

Just adding a little more context: the GOP candidate also probably had more name recognition to folks in the area. His dad was a UGA lineman and was longtime president of the Letterman’s Club.

Which popular baseball player made the Hall of Fame this year? If you guessed Jeff Kent you are wrong, he was never popular.

Honestly confused by that VAR decision on the Brighton goal. Do I understand the rules wrong, did I see it wrong, did the refs understand it wrong, see it wrong?

My guess: 1. Indiana 2. Ohio State 3. Georgia 4. Texas Tech 12 JMU @ 5 Oregon 11 Tulane @ 6 Texas A&M 10 Miami @ 7 Ole Miss 9 ND @ 8 Oklahoma I don’t know what they’ll do with Ohio State, honestly. Maybe 3 behind UGA? Maybe 4 behind TTU? Their resume looks not much different from Oregon’s now?

Today I made a Costco run, did 3 loads of laundry, built a lego set, watched Arsenal take an L, made dinner, and ran for more yards than the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Seven years in Athens and we never sniffed an SEC title game. SEC Champs is a banner. It’s a major trophy. It absolutely matters regardless of the playoffs, BCS, whatever.

Maybe it won’t one day when people too young to remember the BCS are grown, but the SEC championship does absolutely still mean something on a lizard brain level, at least to me

Mind all scattered. Not able to comprehend a win over Alabama in MBS for an SEC title. Befuddled. Instead this kind of crap is coming out of my brain:

Folks start talking about Bama missing the playoffs after a blowout and all of a sudden refs start giving free first downs… the Bham buzzer on their belts must’ve gone off.

Well after that finish I’m sure all will go well for my rooting interests at the SEC Championship. Harbinger of good tidings, particularly against a team like Alabama, which hasn’t previously pulled off miracle wins at the last second in precisely the same building. Pretty nice Saturday ahead!

Feels like a game Arsenal were due for. Too many matches, too many injuries. Villa have good players. Early game on the road.

A while back teams used to rough up Arsenal because they were perceived as soft or finesse players who couldn’t take it. Now teams rough up Arsenal because half the team is out injured and the other half merely hurt. It’d be nice to get some protection from a ref now and then!
