Since updating to iPadOS 26 Zbrush once again refuses to open or make any new files. It worked fine during the beta. Last time this happened I had to manually backup all my work and wipe the whole iPad. This shit sucks. Searching is so terrible these days I don’t know if anyone else has this issue.

QA layoffs hurt all of us because QA is critical for shipping our games at the level of quality our players deserve. The cancellation of ZOS’s promising “Blackbird” project tells us that no project is safe from sudden cancellation. 😔

Xbox laid off 9000 people last week, including DevQA from Bethesda Games Studios. Many more were cut from Zenimax QA proper. At Zenimax Online Studios many are now without a project & in "decisional bargaining" to see what happens next. We’re here to share our grief & support for our friends 🤍

Just repeating it because some are repeating Microsoft's lies unquestioningly about them having to cut people to save money, etc. Their gaming division was 26 *billion* USD in the black. They had just posted record revenue. They were swimming in money. But Microsoft wants to invest *80bn* in AI.

so i was laid off in the microsoft gaming massacre. 15 years at zenimax, more than half that spent working on BGS titles. Worked myself up to QA Lead in 2017. Bethesda games made me want to work in gaming. And Microsoft killed that passion. Adios, gaming industry. You truly suck out loud these days.

I love to have this anxiety about a new round of layoffs every 3-6 months, then feel survivors guilt when it again passes over BGS. Btw, we are unionized. YOU SHOULD BE UNIONIZED TOO. It won’t stop management laying us off if they truly want to, but it will make it more painful for them.
