Donkey Kong Bananza Speaking of primates, every aspect of this game is pure neuron activation for my ape brain. All the collection, destruction, and sandbox elements come together in a beautiful way that never discourages monkeying around. An endlessly fun tribute to DK games, especially at the end.

Primate I was not prepared for the absolutely GRUESOME gore in this movie, but that sounds like a me problem. This movie is at its best when it remembers how over-the-top its killer monkey premise is and rolls with it, not that I mind the authentic suspense they build with the pacing and score.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (2025) Toy Chica: The Movie benefits significantly over its predecessor by knowing how stupid it is. Like, really, really, REALLY stupid. Josh Hutcherson almost acted! Terrible ending btw

Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023) I like the practical effects and animatronics as characters, but it’s movie that cannot decide between campy and serious. The campy parts work better admittedly, but the tonal contrast is glaring, even the acting. Lillard is great, Hutchinson acts like he’s on Nyquil.

Smiling Friends (Season 3) It’s not on par with season 2 IMO but still plenty of laughs to be had. I think they went a little overboard on the mixed media stuff but I guess there’s nothing wrong with taking full advantage of the medium. The Halloween and Mr. Frog episodes did it best

Zootopia 2 Sometimes it hits the hammer on the nail, but other times it feels really formulaic. Honestly, most Disney (especially Pixar and Marvel) projects feel this way lately.

Wicked: For Good A bit of a slow start, but when the ball gets rolling, holy hell does it get good! The musical numbers don’t soar to the same heights as the first (not the movie’s fault) but the story beats and cinematography are fantastic. I have been changed for good… or at least for the week

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (Season 1) A bit of mixed bag in terms of writing and animation quality. For every really good one, there’s a beach episode animated in flash or a Briefs mpreg episode. The funniest bit is how the show doesn’t have antagonists til halfway or a plot until the finale

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Usually MCR’s more ballad-like songs reel me in, but this album is just as intriguing even with less of them. It’s MCR being unabashedly MCR. Faves are Ghost of You and other songs with titles that are far too long for Bluesky’s character limit.

My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys This doesn’t scratch the itch that same Black Parade does, but it’s still pretty good. It’s nice to hear them try something more upbeat and less emo. Faves are Bulletproof Heart, Na Na Na, SCARECROW, and Summertime
