I got our (
@limeleaf.coop
) static site hosting app to provision TLS certs directly without the use of anything else (Caddy, nginx, etc.). It's complete with a web dashboard to manage custom domains, permissions, upload tokens, etc. as a single distributable binary.

This is all well and good, and I'm unsubscribing from some stuff today, but if very rich people *really* want to get these companies' attention, they'll sell 100% of their stock positions in them.

Finally got around to adding logins with non-Bsky PDSes in Tap, my

. Next task is to concoct a real lexicon for it.

The Cooperative Economy
3 months ago
Inclusivity is key to democracy. This means equal voting rights in our politics, but it can't end there. The economy also affects us in many ways. What does inclusivity mean in the context of economics? It means inclusivity in ownership, the vehicle of economic power. It means worker ownership.

Recovering from my surgery is going great! However, me and the gf just ordered Korean fried chicken. Usually we pick it up, but not feeling it tonight. Food cost: $50.09. Delivery fees: $14. The “recommended tip” for the human who actually delivers the food: $5.09.

The block button exists and you can use it. People are making shared block lists. How do we explain that calling the manager is the core part of what’s wrong with old systems? No Kings means No Kings. Have agency, build it with others.

Pieces like thus imply that Internet content is immune to the FCC's censorship shenanigans. IMO it's worth keeping two things in mind: 1) the FCC also regulates ISPs in the US (many of which are also media companies), and 2) a federal court killed net neutrality in January, 2025.

I keep hearing smart people like
@profgalloway.com
say new media will be a bulwark against the authoritarian media oligarchs. Maybe, but remember, net neutrality in the US died last January. won't be shocked if the FCC unleashes their chaos machine on ISPs next.
