An honest ROFLMAO off moment

Walking my dog yesterday after dinner we passed someone’s garage where a group of men had gathered under a “This Is Steelers Country” flag to watch the NFL draft. First of all this is western Montana my guys. Second I hope NFL Santa brought you what you wanted, whatever that may be.

Going to the movies in 2025 is awesome. AMC has an ad where they explain what a movie is, how it's made of lights and sounds. Then they have an ad where two performers act out different kinds of movies, in case the audience thinks all movies are the same. Then Nicole Kidman says, "movies...nice"

For an administration so obsessed with “efficiency” these people sure are spending an incredible amount of time and money and energy on keeping one man locked up in another country. But maybe that’s just what happens when your only guiding principle is: we can do whatever we want.

One problem with surrounding yourself with sycophants is that you don’t have anyone to tell you, dude you think you are maintaining but you are not maintaining and everyone can tell.

After doing some painting and sprucing up my living room I needed some new art. I got this dope Minotaur piece from @chloecumming.bsky.social’s online shop and I love it. She has lots of great stuff on there so if you’re in the market I highly recommend.

The Katy Perry spaceship reminds me of when Bezos sent William Shatner into space and all the reporters asked “hey how did you feel up there?!” and Shatner was like “horror and disgust…emptiness and profound dread at the infinite gaping maw” and then the reporters had to be like haha cool! Neat!

Well dammit, it’s Tuesday again. Hit me with those mailbag questions. What’s on your mind after UFC 314 and all the other madness of this bizarre world?

My daughter was watching Hamilton on TV and as I passed in and out of the room I had to ask myself: — is this actually terrible? — do I just think that because I didn’t start at the beginning and I’m only seeing snippets? — and it’s a recording of a stage show? — but it does seem awful right?

Me: want to get a drink tonight? Them: no, I have to do karate class after work because my boss won’t sell the cyber truck

This is a good question and I think it’s at least partially an echo chamber effect. The UFC leadership, the fighters, many of the loudest fans, they’re all MAGA types anyway. So to them it all seems natural. Of course we should use our events for Dear Leader worship. Why wouldn’t we??

One thing I like about watching UFC events with my non-sports fan girlfriend is she asks the questions I don’t even think to ask anymore. Such as: why does Joe Rogan insist on holding people by the shoulder as he interviews them after a fight?

This is just to inform you that I was a witness at my friend’s wedding and it was glorious. By it of course I mean my suit.

Today on the way to school my daughter started listing all the expenses adults have to deal with: “job taxes, city bills, rental cars…” Damn she’s right it really is all too much sometimes. Especially the rental cars.
