Dammit. Just heard that one of the truly great teachers I had the pleasure of knowing, Tom Dickens, passed away in Winnipeg. Not a shock- he was in his 90s… but a terrific human being who challenged privileged little shits like me. One of the good ones. RIP Mr. Dickens.

Indeed, I'd say from experience that it's always been a good time to be (someone who tries to be) a decent hetero guy who wants (and is lucky enough to have) a full partner and knows how to do his own laundry (and cook a bit) and actively likes women as people.
