I had a great time catching up with @rjbayley.bsky.social at Church restaurant in Sheffield over lunch. Excellent vegan food served in a fun, relaxed venue, although the panna cotta presented in the style of a baby's head was mildly disturbing 😄

Had a relaxing breakfast and a bit of a lie in this morning. Now it's time to push on and try and finish proofing the Brotherhood omnibus. Some bonus material is also coming together nicely 😁

I've decided to streamline my writing projects. From now on I'll have a relentless focus on completing one manuscript before moving on to the next. Other than a little artwork commission, of course. Oh, and some short stories. Oh yes, and extra Patreon content. 😩 Help me!

In a disturbing development, I've found the text of the paperback version of A Time of Dread by @johngwynneauthor.bsky.social is too small for my aging eyes 😞 especially late at night. Fortunately, I have the larger font of the hardback to fall back on! Getting old 😂

Inside the largest cuckoo clock in the world!

I’ve said this before, a lot, but when you’re an author and your book doesn’t sell your feelings can default to the premise, “Everyone in the world was offered my book and they all personally rejected it.” The truth is most people don’t know it exists. Awareness is the problem, not you or your book.

There was a lot of travelling yesterday but it was worth it to reach a destination like this.

I'll be getting up at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning to catch a flight to Germany. It's been a frantic week so I'm looking forward to exploring somewhere new and seeing some friends for a few days.
