Out of all the first officers we see on Star Trek, Chakotay is the best crew manager. Yes, event hat time he punched a guy in the face. Context matters there. But I don't know if it us seeing him doing this more than other number ones, but this is the element where he excels.

The AFI is going to be showing The Princess Bride as part of their Rob Reiner in memoriam and it has like twice as many showings as any of the other movies. And I'm looking at it going, "Man, so many of these actors were eventually in Star Trek."
