I'm watching Die My Love, and for all of the batshit things happening in this movie, I have to say, the thing that made me go, "I think she under-reacted" was a woman saying to her, "I heard you're a writer. That's cute." I would have thrown my whole wine glass in her face.

I might do a bunch of movies at the theater tomorrow after work. I have a time slot that I could see either Marty Supreme or Song Sung Blue. I don't imagine a lot of people have seen both since they just came out this week, and I intend to see both eventually but IDK which one I'd rather see first.

I am statistically going to get another kudos on one of my 2025 fics before the end of the year, but it HAS been sitting at 999 all day. The worst part of the new year is saying goodbye to last year's AO3 stats page. I can look back, but it's not the active year's stat page anymore.

I thought I wouldn't make it to 200 individual movies on the year. If I don't get there, I'm going to get very close. I *could* watch 11 movies in the next 9 days. I'm not going to stress over it, but it's possible.

Little kids being morbid and obsessed with death feels like a normal phase, but I was not prepared for Tootie and Agnes in Meet Me in St. Louis. They are a different level. The Halloween sequence felt like a 1904 segment to Trick R Treat.

The problem with Dick Van Dyke making it to 100 is my thoughts have switched from "I hope he makes it to 100" to "Well shit, now I just don't want him to ever die".

I've been wearing a new nail polish and it's really disappointing. It goes on beautifully, the color is gorgeous, but it chips like nobody's business. My right hand index finger will chip before other nails, but not the next day. I used the same base and top coat that I use with other polishes.

I keep seeing Torrid ads with really cute clothes, and I'm like, "Why didn't I see this on the website?" Because they're not $30 or less. Buying clothes for more than $30 a piece is reasonable, but not for Torrid clothes. Maybe jeans. Or a coat, because stylish plus coats are hard to find.

I put packing peanuts in a box, and it's sitting on my bed. Eisley wants to pull them out of the box one at a time and drop them on the floor. Once the peanut has touched the floor, it is dead to her. She does not engage further. The cycle repeats.

This is adorable and also super relatable. I have a part in that process that is reminding myself that answering the phone and doing the task I'm requesting is their job, and no one is inconvenienced or mad.

I need to go to bed, but this IKEA candle I'm burning had an uncentered wick, so I'm making sure I get an even melt on that initial burn before I go to bed. After a couple hours, just like 2/3 of it was melting. Under some foil now. It smells good. It smells like Christmas.

Should I just start watching like Hallmark Christmas movies? They're all under 90 minutes. I could just dive headfirst into sub-par, cloying Christmas schlock.
