Because transparency is good: @certifiedforgot.bsky.social pays $75 per 1,000 words of original horror criticism, but we only have room in our budget for ~2 new pieces a month. Our hope is that, as our subscriber base grows, we can alternate adding new pieces with bumping our rates going forward.

$100 for 2k words is a slap in the face to begin with. And then to not even pay? THIS is why we organize!
