I have been having so many anxiety attacks since Mom passed. It hurts so hard.

My husband and I left the house for several hours today... TOGETHER. We haven't been able to do that for months. I hate that mom is gone but so ready to start some semblance of living a life outside my house again.

Thank God he at least waited until Pride month ended to proclaim this.

Funerals are so damn expensive. No Mr. Funeral Director, I do not need a fingerprint necklace of my mom or to have special designs engraved on a coffin that one this century is ever gonna see again.

Mom passed away this morning. I know she waited until I was asleep. She looks so peaceful. I am so glad she got to be at home with me for her final days.

Mom is so peaceful tonight. We have her on a great medication cocktail. She is slipping peacefully into whatever is waiting on the other side. Getting the privilege to do hospice at home is a beautiful thing. Seeing the woman that brought me into whatever else pass into the next is so beautiful.

My mom is on a cocktail of hydromorphone and lorazepam but she still is fighting to stay awake and spend time with us. She is such a strong fighter. I have had to find strength I never knew I had watching her go through hospice. Nurses are coming every day now. Know it's coming but I'm not ready.

Hi there. Hospice stuff again, feel free to mute If you are doing hospice for someone for the first time..... it's hard. One of the hardest things you'll ever do. And one of the most profound. Holding someone you love as they die is... Beyond difficult. And saying this to every family/person

The nurse and nursing assistant helping me and my husband with my mom in hospice are amazing, kind and truly caring. I don't know how people have the will to do this as a profession but for those of you who do, thank you. You are some of the most precious people on this planet.

Hospice is so confusing. For days my mom didn't want to eat anything. Tonight she ate ribs, mac and cheese and a side of corn. Then some lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was a good day. It makes me happy to see her enjoy food.

I put my mom in hospice today. She gets to do it in our home. That is beautiful to me. I don't know what is in store for the next several weeks or months but I am just happy she gets to be where she wants to be. I am happy that place was with me.
