Genuinely, learning how to use vim and switching to it for all my writing was a huge leap in productivity, the simplicity of it and the lack of a messy ui really helps keep my mind focused. Plus i stole @lukegearing.bsky.social s vim file with a bunch of plugins that made it even better.

Its a tragedy that we still live in a world that nees things like this, but theres a long lineage of resistance like this we can still learn a lot from.

I miss #over/under so I'm putting some patches in my store soon. There's a few cute ones but this might be my favorite.

One of the best things to come from #over/under, aside from the community -- is refreshing my creative energy, I've written more in the last few days than I have all year. Turns out the cure for burnout is just to be a pretend bartender for a month!
