This just feels like one of those metas where the issues come from low skill expression discouraging more interesting weapons and too much paint spam and I think this ruleset should weaken those enough to see other strats. That's what I'm going for at least so other mobility/midline weps r better.

Thinking of hosting a tournament banning blaster heavy and respawn punisher in July if the patch doesn't do anything. (52 is annoying but I think its just a symptom of these weapons and should be more balanced in this format but not opposed to sniping it too.)

Yeah agreed. Lower tier players on top tier weapons are genuinely harder to fight than top tier players on mediocre weapons rn. Never really been like that before. Also so many things are unbreachable like my original post pointed out, Splatoon has also never been like that before.

Play comp and run into a blaster comp. Go into Xrank and every game has 3-4 blasters. Ignores LOS, removes movement expression, removes shaking, removes aim. I fucking hope this class gets the Splatoon 2 Brella treatment. I don’t think the game has ever felt this uninteractive and stale

I thought I didn't like Stamper anymore bc everytime I've tried play booyah stamper, I haven't enjoyed it. Played vStamper again and that thing is a blast. Burst Bomb is such a game changer. My bad for falling for the Booyah propaganda.

I need to know what compels people in xrank to see they are the only painting weapon on the team and then find a way to have most deaths on the team instead of putting down any amount of paint. You locked a shooter out of your own volition. your weapon is good at one thing in the current meta

I swear playing Wiper into all this aoe spam and paint slop feels like bringing a knife to a gun fight, except everyone has a rocket launcher and you have to do calculus before every swing. nTri keeps calling my name but its not my real baby </3

Douser Dualies only has one dodge roll. This is balanced out by that dodge roll having a ton of end lag. This is improved by the fact that the weapon also does very little damage. However, this is remedied by the weapon’s mediocre rate of fire. Thankfully, dousers also has a very poor paint output.

Good info to know: crab tank ball-form contact damage doesn't deal damage to the vac user (unlike roller, sword, reefslider contact damage, etc). #compsplatoon

I've done quite a few coaching sessions recently and the pattern through most since 11.0 has been having at least some kind of a problem with blaster this weapon seems to be having a field day in every level of play and solo it is not JUST top 500. Its been brought up so many times.

Last patch coaching was just "How do I beat sblast in a fight" "you don't" Now we're having a repeat but on short blaster
