On the one hand, burn baby burn. On the other hand, what a terrible time to be flammable.

I am shocked to learn this is actually underestimating costs, because it ignores the infrastructure costs. This video is lowballing it.

We now have data from Trump's first full year in office. Let's review the performance of Trump and the two parties since 1989 and a new age of globalization began. However you cut the data Trump continues to have worst jobs record of last six Presidents. 1/

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

I love being terrible at chess. I love having no idea how to do a proper checkmate. I love sacrificing all of my pawns fewer than ten moves in. People devote their entire lives to it and I’m just like “wheeeeee horsies”

I think the best thing to do if you're in a social media space where you have to encounter people who say stuff like "well she had it coming" is to remind them of this. Tell them you know exactly who and what they are.

Excellent, damning analysis of the video of the killing of Ms Good, from the NYT, including a quick debunking of the “evidence” the President showed other Times reporters last night.

Video: Videos Contradict Trump Administration Account of ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
An analysis of footage from three camera angles shows that the motorist was driving away from — not toward — a federal officer when he opened fire.

Pretty clear that round two is, and has been, worse than the first. 6 months in and we've got a new police state and Alligator Auschwitz is a fucking thing already.

Listening to Pete Buttigieg on Flagrant, and it occurred to me that he gets it while Gavin Newsom sadly doesn’t. You don’t make a podcast then force your Democratic audiences to listen to Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk. You go on manosphere podcasts to have their audiences listen to your ideas.

How is this legal? How? Why is every top Democrat not outside the Treasury right now, holding a press conference at least? Or filing a lawsuit?? I am losing my mind.

Mexico's president is a badass. Where do we get one of these instead of speaker 'strongly worded letters read on the floor'. This is going to suck, but the

It's striking how SCOTUS could decide the TikTok ban in a few days but delayed and sat on the question of presidential immunity for months. The Court can move quickly when it wants to. When it came to ensuring Trump could be brought to trial for Jan. 6, it just didn't want to.
