Bayern Munich are very good by the way, they completely overwhelmed PSG when it was 11v11. Think Arteta may have a special group here

Carlos Cuesta's Parma hold Cesc Fàbregas' Como side to a 0-0 draw. Como with 71% possession, Parma outshoot them 10-6 anyway. Exactly how I'd expect a Arteta-Wenger protégé derby to play out.

I’ve been *so guilty* of this myself so please take what I’m about to say with a huge grain of salt: I think we have to start to move away from the analysis that having most of the ball & pushing the opposition back is “dominating a game” if you’re not creating a decent volume of good chances

let’s say he doesn’t dramatically change as a player in the next 3 years from what we see now, I still think the Gyoker signing is fine if he scores against the middling sides and offers some depth. but on the evidence so far he isn’t troubling Havertz for a starting spot in the big games.

What’s great is that almost every post mortem post here hasn’t mentioned Odegaard or Havertz missing. And their absence was a BIG factor today. But very few are even pointing out those absences. That’s how good we are now, even with what was a disappointing result.

I see the injury curse is still in full flow. Would be nice to have our best team available just once against the other top teams but seems that's too much to ask.

Performance was fine. Result frustrating but by no means a disaster, especially three games in. Hopefully we have some players back after the international break.

First half has me greedy, I want the win. Got to remember a point is still a better result for us than for them. That, at Anfield without Saliba, Ødegaard, Saka, Havertz, was excellent.

The Premier League's strength in depth will be the reason Premier League teams don't win the Champions League consistently: PSG, Bayern, the Spanish giants can play in second gear in the league most weeks in a way the English clubs can't and it'll often show in April and May.

It means little now, but I'm quite surprised Nwaneri didn't get off the bench tonight. We needed someone with goal threat to try something late on, a shift and shot - he can do that. This also means nothing, but I'm tired of watching Saka needing to beat three players every time he gets the ball.

That said, our bench…the first sub was 82 minutes and it was a right back. You need more than that at this level.

Whatever the correctness of the actual decision, it feels overly harsh for that to be the punishment for something as exacting as a shoot-out Should be a retake It's a slip, not an intentional attempt to cheat. Absurd.

Big day for the whole club. I’m obviously incredibly biased but Arsenal take all the heat for not being top of both leagues while other clubs of large means don’t get the same heat.

Looking forward to waves of (more) gaslighting about that red card now, because nobody can take their fucking blinkers off and realise that referees and PGMOL are ruining the game for everybody. We're not even ready for what the next 48 hours will hold.

Frankly, I think we created enough overall to win the game but a lot of our creativity is limited to spamming crosses, which do not usually lead to high-quality chances. Today, Jorginho was excellent at finding the players in space/runners into the box from the half-spaces. We need more of that.
