For today’s #ArtAdventCalendar I’d like to share a mini painting inspired by the Columbia River Gorge. ‘Camassia Quamash’ A perennial herb, native to western N. America in large areas of southern Canada & the northwestern United States. A staple food to First Nations people, & pollinators love it!

Good news for the Northern Hemisphere!

We met an owl while walking our dog at dusk this evening. It was hunting squirrels in the big Douglas firs & happened to be going low right as we walked up. It was really cool to watch. At one point I just decided to lie down to keep watching because it was hurting my neck so bad. 🤣 10/10 very cool.

Thank you to folks who have shared about my shop being up and running again! I’ve been dealing with early winter blues AND I ran out of my adhd meds before the holiday, creating a perfect storm of executive dysfunction.

🚨My shop is up & running again. My usps account unsynced, not allowing for check out. Oh, & it was down for WEEKS! I had no idea until someone messaged me. Part of why I had zero sales yesterday. Info of who couldn’t check out is behind another paywall. So I have to spread the word that it’s fixed!

My favorite vibe: Moody forest mushroom foraging. 😌 Porcini are a favorite to pick, and to illustrate! I’m so drawn to all the texture and detail. Amanita Muscaria are high up on the list of favorites to draw and paint as well. 🤓
