Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers. If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of: fund.godotengine.org

Some people are attracted to LLMs because they produce convincing imitations of human-created writing/art/music/video without exactly copying the sources. That exact function is why they don't reliably reproduce facts. That's not what the machine *does.*

My son was playing a game and observed an NPC doing something weird. I said that their AI probably wasn't too complicated because they were meant to be in the background. He understood this to mean that an LLM was controlling the character, which in his mind naturally explained it acting dumb. 😂

In 2021 I built a PC with 32Gb of DDR4 RAM. Cost $175 at the time. In light of the AI-driven RAM shortage, I wondered how much it would cost to upgrade to 64Gb. $500! 🤬 Even just replacing my existing 32Gb would now cost $250-300. For DDR4!

Been replaying Act 1 of Silksong just for fun (no speedrunning or Steel Soul mode here, I'm not that kind of gamer). It's been great to revisit areas that I struggled with on my first playthrough and realize they're easy now.

Beat "Ball X Pit", fun little game! The thing that I kept thinking as I was playing it was "this must have been a blast to develop!" The core game mechanics are pretty simple so most of the time (I hope) could be spent on "Let's give all the balls and characters fun behaviors and interactions!"

I just removed a GPU from a machine, and when I went to put it in the storage box that I had for it, I discovered it already contained another GPU of the same model (different manufacturer). I have no idea where that second GPU came from. 😰

I did a project with #Cesium to support #Unity Web. That just shipped this morning (cesium.com/blog/2025/12...)! To test it I've been making a #WebGPU flight sim game. Lots of fun being able to fly across the entire world, from a web page! And it's running at 144 FPS on my computer, in a browser!
