Atlantic Canada, where I am now, is abnormally dry & there's wildfires. So governments are restricting ATVs, bonfires, woods access, etc.) & disinfo/conspiracies are rampant. It's the right call BUT industry that amplifies this with clearcuts - and land converted for animal ag - gets a free pass.

Improving farming practices are worthwhile but nothing compares to shifting our food system more plant-based. This graph makes that clear and is only showing GHGs, not the huge land opportunities. In shifting methods of food production, we might also feed less & emit more (grass-fed beef).

Tofu and seitan. Everyone should know them. I didn’t until I went plant-based, now they’re my go-to. Tofu takes on any flavour (like chicken or eggs). Seitan’s chewier, steak-like, with 25g of protein per 100g. Better for us & the planet. I get the alt-meat goals, but can't forget these classics.
