On this day 1972, the legendary Lou Reed released his 2nd album, Transformer. The songs that came from this masterpiece are some of Reed's greatest: "Vicious", "Andy's Chest", "Satellite of Love" and of course "Perfect Day" and finally Reed's signature song "Walk on the Wild Side."

Someone actually says to Victor Frankenstein “You are the monster.” THEY ACTUALLY SAY IT. (And he doesn’t reply “That’s a common misconception…”)

Good to hear Lee Anderson on PM yesterday saying that he used to sit between Jeremy Corbyn and George Galloway, making a "lunatic sandwich". Demonstrating that he either thinks he's a lunatic or doesn't understand the concept of a sandwich. I'm happy to believe either explanation

I actually think what ICE is doing under Trump 2.0 is shaping up to be a world-historic campaign of human rights violations in an advanced industrialized ~democracy I’m not sure I have many modern parallels. Japanese internment? Treatment of French-Algerians in the Algerian war? Those were wartime.
