Senator Chris Van Hollen, Democrat of Maryland, endorsed Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City on Saturday and called on his party’s leadership to do the same, criticizing them for a delay that he said allowed President Trump to exploit Democratic divisions.

In the 2017 legislative extension of cap and trade, though, industry managed to freeze that analysis in time. 8 years later, covered industries are getting anti-leakage treatment based on the economic conditions that existed the year 2017. Huh?!

Why is the rent so damn high in LA? Simple economics: the demand for housing is extremely high and our housing supply is extremely low.

TBH I feel like we don’t talk about redevelopment timeframes much in online punditry about zoning, and perhaps we should, because it is a contour to the housing crisis that really helps separate effective solutions from the chaff
