Heading to the Holodeck. First it looked like NeRF's would be the way. Then Gaussian Splats. Now Convex Splatting is coming on the scene to build 3D experiences with better quality. Things in the AI industry change so fast.

Crazy interesting paper in many ways: 1) Voice-enabled GPT-4o conducted 2 hour interviews of 1,052 people 2) GPT-4o agents were given the transcripts & prompted to simulate the people 3) The agents were given surveys & tasks. They achieved 85% accuracy in simulating interviewees real answers!

Perplexity just announced a shopping service. I've bought a lot of things already, from tires to clothes using AI, mostly over on ChatGPT. It's a new shopping experience, but wasn't hooked up to being able to complete the transaction.

How many people have moved over from X so far? Well, I am following 24,000 over there, mostly active. (Just cleaned up). I ran the tool to bring them over here and it found about 5,000 of those who I was following. So, somewhere around 20%. All the people I follow are in tech, mostly in AI.
