We're relieved to hear he's been released but outraged to hear of the attack on Hamdan Ballal by Israeli settlers and military. This aggression against a filmmaker who dared to reveal Israel's destruction of his community is a symbol of and a warning about the costs of demonizing Palestinians.

The Montgomery County Jewish Collective is opposed to the adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism here, where it's currently being proposed for use in Montgomery County Public Schools. This article lays out the problems with the new definitions of antisemitism quite well. Do recommend!
