We just witnessed Trump signing two executive orders. One to clear the path to the US for the ultra wealthy who can pay $1M. Another to obliterate the path to the US for working class immigrants, demanding a $100,000 application fee. Annually.

The government asking for names of those they potentially disagree with is a chilling callback to the McCarthy era. Jewish Americans must oppose government coercion of academic institutions.

No person should be held — and kept from their families, communities, and jobs — because they cannot pay bail. And no city should have funding held because it will not enact Trump's cruel orders. We reject the cash bail system and Trump's rampant ransom schemes and authoritarian agenda.

Today, during his mandatory check-in, ICE unjustly detained our beloved member Kilmar Abrego (AGAIN). This is the latest action to persecute Kilmar for refusing to give up his constitutional rights and for rejecting a coerced plea deal.

As Jews, we know how dangerous it is when authoritarians use the military and disinformation to take over communities. This is something that no democracy should ever allow. Send a message to your Rep and Senators demanding they support the resolution to get federal forces out of DC.
