Spontaneously shaved for the first time in over a year and am baby faced once again 👶

This is something I was proud of City of Ghosts for, released in 2021. It gave people good feelings and it encouraged kids to follow history from the people who lived it. It made people fill with feelings and had kids and their parents watching together. I’m forever grateful I got to make it.

THE TIDES This short was the most fun reminder to just cut loose and make something. Conceptualized as a bit while admiring a half moon on a late night drive, I got to drop some self seriousness and just do something silly.

Slowly rereading the Redwall books has been a beautiful addition to my adult life. My fiancée and I end our days with a chapter or two each night, and just finished Mossflower 🐭 🏰

EVERYTHING GOES TO THE FISH It’s been about 7 years since we made this short and it remains one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten to do. We had fun with puppets and cool lighting, and I even got to noodle on accordion and violin for the score! 🐟

Watched “The Trouble With Harry” last night and I cannot get over how gorgeous it was! Those leaves 🍁 🍂

You know, yes, I am outraged for all the plagiarism and theft. But also, when I read about things like these, I think, in very Ernest Hemingway tones, “cowards.”

I got to watch both of these incredible films on Monday and I haven’t stopped thinking about them. THEY CALL HER DEATH was some seriously inspiring genre filmmaking and SUNLIGHT was so beautifully performed and the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time 🤩
