I think the fact that some people don't realize there are indie animated shows I enjoy because the ones I talk about are from much smaller productions speaks for itself. People are so obsessed with "owning hollywood" and yet refuse to watch a any indie show that isn't a multi-million success.

I had a viewer in chat tonight express that they feel bad 'bothering' an artist for a commission. Please know. It is never a bother to give an artist a living and show interest in hiring them. If an artist has commissions open, they are asking for work. You are not a bother, you are a hero💚

the reason I even began posting artwork way back in the day was bc there was always a tight knit group of folks I could count on to give me feedback and bounce ideas off of that level of community has all but shriveled up and died thanks to social media and everyone being obsessed with number go up

Lrb; On that's vile. Artfight having that as a rule. People use references all the time. Even professionals. And considering the nature of Artfight, it's really inconsiderate to ban such a method that helps so many of those starting. Especially if it's your OWN pics you are using.

@artfight.net please consider changing this rule. Tons of artists (beginners, professionals and all in between) rely on 3D models and photos to create artwork with accurate proportions in a short time frame. Art fight encourages a consistent stream of artwork that benefits from these resources. (1/)
