Using generative AI in your game, even for pre-vis, even for "just a background" sends a clear message to your audience: "I don't care enough about this product to actually make it, and I don't value your time and money as a gamer. Now shut up and pay for your slop." I think gamers deserve better.

With October coming to a close things really escallated quickly. We now know of so many games industry layoff waves in 2025 that we're only one short of matching 2024, and we have two months still to go.

$30 is waaay too much, and I think $12 might be just a little too much for indies only, but I'd probably not have any regrets about a $5/month service for like 100 indie games.

If layoffs are the New Normal, then residuals/profit-share (as done here) ought to be the new normal, too
