Have you seen the upcoming state government Cycling Guide, obtained under Freedom of Information? It recommends a protected bike lane width of at least 2.0 metres. If Council proceeds to drastically narrow the bike lanes on Elizabeth Street, they won't comply with these guidelines.

Feedback on the draft Masterplan for the Linear Parklands is due by 9am Monday, via Your Say Yarra. We suggest that the area of the parklands can be increased by closing both Rae Street and Brunswick Street North to vehicle traffic. Combined, this is 1600 m2, a massive area! What do you think?
