What an amazing little kitty! A palaeontological dream come true - a three-week old sabertooth kitten was preserved in the Siberian permafrost. Surprisingly, even bleached by millenia in the soil, the fur is still a pretty dark brown. In life, it might have been nearly black.

Anatomy lesson: the pointy bit at the top of the skull is where the chomp muscles attach. If you have a dog, pet their head and feel for this ridge. The higher the ridge, the bigger the muscles.
