The outcome isn’t settled - it‘s a pause in one judicial order while the bigger case plays out, but boy does this look awful for Trump (as it should).

/2 1. Real human beings will suffer from even a brief stay. 2. The government's position is transparently dishonest and in bad faith. 3. The Supreme Court has lost any benefit of the doubt. They have lost the mandate of the heaven that is the rule of law.

This is actually a pretty standard and unremarkable move, as evidenced by Justice Jackson issuing it. But most people won't believe that for several good reasons. /1

It doesn't matter what the President wants to hear—we NEED to do more to make things more affordable. He promised lower prices but has instead made everything more expensive. And now he just wants to avoid the topic altogether. Not going to happen.
