Last month, Anas al-Sharif sounded the alarm on starvation in Gaza. Israel accused him of terrorism. "We warned this felt like a precursor to justify assassination," said Jodie Ginsberg of the Committee to Protect Journalists. Today he was killed in a targeted strike on a tent housing reporters.

Me for Metro: The crucial point is deterrence & border violence has never & will never work We need safe routes & the right to work legally for asylum seekers - IT IS SCREAMINGLY OBVIOUS But pressure might be working, we must press harder than ever for a humane policy💪

This country is awash with money. The very rich are rich beyond imagination. So when Starmer wants to stay within his arbitrary fiscal rules, who does he decide to take money from? The very rich? No, from people with disabilities who depend on benefits for the bare minimum of a decent life.

The scenes in the Oval Office today will shame the US for decades. They’ll never be forgotten. A world leader, fighting for his country against the 21st century’s Nazis, came to the US and was attacked & abused by a gangster regime siding with the fascist invaders. A historic disgrace.

Off to see the Bede Wind Band's Christmas concert tonight. My dad used to play base clarinet with them about 20 year ago when they were the Bede Philharmonic and me and my mam would get dragged to every concert he could manage. Atually really enjoyed them but that never seemed to sink in for him.

Went to see Lady Maisery, Jimmy Aldridge and Sid Goldsmith's Awake Arise gig last night. I've loved this album since it came out and this is my second time seeing them do it live and it's still such a lovely experience. If a chance is had, I highly recommend seeing them.

Nice to know Orcas are more trendy than me. I mean it's not exactly a reach for them but, still. This is not to say I'm not aware of various trends, it's just that that awareness tends to be retroactive. Good for orcas! (Commiserations to the salmon)
