We have now reached the point of the cycle where people have forgotten white rural voters exist and that Democrats’ ability to win a majority depends on decent exurban/rural margins. This state will persist until roughly October 25, 2026, when everyone will remember they exist again and freak out.

I genuinely don't understand how Democrats can negotiate to fund the government under these conditions and it is why they should have made addressing recision and unconstitutional withholding of funds the key issue of the shutdown even if not as sexy or popular as subsidies.
