Accountant, twin dad, windmill enthusiast, ultimate frisbee retiree. Lincoln, NE by way of SC.
Me and the family went to downtown Chicago over Labor Day weekend. We walked the streets, played in parks, and rode public transportation the whole time. Never felt unsafe or even uncomfortable. The city was absolutely beautiful and we had a great time.

This was not a political sting operation where an official is induced to do crime. Homan was *actively soliciting bribes*, the FBI heard about it, and so gave it a try. Worth also highlighting this was a grift since he was selling influence prior to the electionâso before he had any to sell

Here's the video Trump just posted to Truth Social, with the claim that 11 people aboard the boat were killed. There is zero evidence of self-defense here. Looks like a massacre of civilians at sea. Even if they had drugs aboard, that's not a capital offense.

I used to believe in taking the high road and leading by example with a non-partisan led districting. I now see the error in that logic and I think Dems should gerrymander so hard that it takes a constitutional amendment or court to end all partisan gerrymanders.

In July of 1852, Frederick Douglass delivered one of the greatest speeches in US history. Today itâs often presented in abridged form, though, and skips what seems like a long-winded introduction. If you read the intro closely, however, thereâs an ingenious structure. THREADđđœ

one of the stranger phenomena in American life is that hate is supposed to flow in one direction (rural people get to hate urban people, Republicans get to hate Democrats) and if the hate goes the other way people pretend as if this is very upsetting.

High-efficiency geothermal heat pumps are as cheap as gas or electric heating alternatives when built into homes from the ground up, say startup Dandelion Energy and homebuilder Lennar. They're building 1,500 homes in Colorado to prove the proposition:

I especially appreciate this argument because: âthey can do it but they shouldnâtâ is a line people are going to need to get used to re actions against noncitizens. Law gives the exec branch a LOT of power. The converse is that exec gets to choose when to use it.
