Every day, I log on and am confronted with a flood of documented war crimes and forced to select only a small fraction to surface and bear witness to knowing the rest go unseen. If we don't stop Israel, there may soon be nothing left to preserve.

There are circulating claims in Iranian media that Israel threatened journalists over covering the Minab girl's school massacre. I can't find a Western source for it, though.

Christ. This headline. "Israeli airstrike kills three Labanese journalists, Israel says it targeted one." Oh, OK. Al-Manar says veteran correspondent Ali Shoeib, who covered southern Lebanon for nearly 30 years, was deliberately targeted by Israel.

We really need to do away with the concept of terrorism. The only use it has is to designate entire peoples who can be killed without further justification or consequence based on nothing other than the accusation.

Please remember that Trump is not a "King." He’s not outside the system. He’s a product of it, and an expression of its incentives and failures.

A strong protest sign, for example, names a specific system, shows how it causes real consequences, and makes clear who is responsible. It connects cause and effect so people understand what is happening and who should be held accountable.

This isn’t really about whether the crowd is 'centrist' or not. It’s about the fact that none of this is naming the systems of power behind it: war, capital, the financial order. It stays at the level of aesthetics and sentiment.

Iran is demonstrating that the system only works as long as everyone is forced to play along. If the dollar loses power, your life gets more expensive. Don’t have to take my word for it: Deutsche Bank is saying the war could weaken the petrodollar system itself.

What Iran means for the dollar: a perfect storm for the petrodollar - Deutsche Bank Research Institute
The Middle East is strategically very important to the dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency. The Iran conflict could test the foundations of the petrodollar regime.

As a university worker, I will say that it is very clear that Iran has given time and space for the US and the zionist entity to not only confess to war crimes but to cease them AND evacuate university workers, while Iran’s students, scientists, & academics are being assassinated without warning

I’m sitting here watching American people post about work, food, television and I find myself wondering not if that rhythm breaks, but when. At what point does escalation reach a threshold where the performance of normalcy becomes untenable? What is the catalyst that collapses the illusion.

But to be clear, israeli universities support occupation & genocide by doing research, development, surveillance, and more. Like many zionist institutions that make their communities into human shields, they deliberate straddle the civilian and military. & the entity did not warn Iranian professors.

Whatever your feelings, I think this is pretty different from other “eye-for-eye” responses (steel factories this week, for example) because it’s giving time to the US & zionist entity to admit to targeting civilian infrastructure, and thereby making it clear that the blame lies with the aggressors.

I am tired of saying this because it is so obvious, but this did not start with Iran, it will not end with Iran. This is an existential war for the region & the world. Everyone around me keeps acting like this doesn’t affect them. It does. It will continue to. Politically, economically, legally.

Many Americans have been conditioned to see Iran as some Al-Qaeda–run war zone (which makes no sense, given they’re enemies) or some other such nonsense. One of the easiest ways to deprogramme is just by watching everyday life there. You’ll see it’s a–big shocker–real society.

Exactly this. We’re not seeing the stories on this platform due to its relative lack of international reach and the obsequious nature of US reporting, but entire residential blocks are being flattened in Tehran and other cities in Iran.

If Israel thinks it will be safe if it just kills enough people...? You cannot spill that much blood without leaving something unknowably evil behind. That kind of violence settles into the ground itself. Safety does not come from that. Israel will never be safe; it is cursed.

You are just allowed to commit hate crimes in the name of Jewish supremacy in this country. Betar doesn't even face scrutiny for giving pagers to anti-Zionist Jews. 99% of people who loudly talk about rising antisemitism are just Islamophobic trash who excuse antisemitism when it benefits Israel.

the reason they put literally everything they had into israeli hasbara, "antisemitism" smears, anti-BDS laws etc etc is because they knew as soon as we learned the truth about Israel we would question everything else. iran, venezuela, north korea—it only takes a little truth to crumple a paper tiger
