Excited to be able to announce this now! I've sold a story to Escape Pod, to be published in July (next month? Holy shit, next month!) I will ramble about it a bit more once it's out, but for now, just know that I am vibrating in anticipation.

I just got a pitch offering to create AI-voiced audio for The Present Day by Day, and it felt like they just fed the title into the prompter and sent the output directly to me. It's 300 words of airy bullshit that mean absolutely nothing. Why would anyone think that would entice a potential client?

Tiny milestones with an elderly, recently rehomed cat: I caught her on the sofa the other day, and she immediately jumped up and ran off to hide, like she'd been doing something wrong. Today, I've caught her on the couch multiple times, and the last time she didn't even run.

Absolutely, positively not. As someone who writes longform, and on deadline, and for news sources, I have never once been tempted to use AI.

At the very last second, I decided to read some of my high fantasy manuscript at my #Balticon reading, and it was absolutely the right call. The audience loved it and were super enthusiastic when I finished; it was so reassuring. I know this book has an audience, I just have to convince a publisher.
