I also appreciated @tweissgerber.bsky.social’s point that we need to separate the person from the corporation. It’s too easy to conflate the two.

Quote of the conference at #Metascience2025? "Disturb shit!" from @tweissgerber.bsky.social - that, for me, is the point of #metascience, not the colonialisation of this previously radical and questioning space by the entitled and corporate. IMHO.

Like most grassroots metascience organisations, AERN is running on a shoestring budget, with less than $10K since 2022. Relying on enthusiastic volunteers is not sustainable, so point any funding opportunities their way.

I'm very happy to say that Plastic Fantastic, my book on scientific fraud at Bell Laboratories, is available online as an affordable paperback or ebook. The content is the same but it has taken taken months to reformat after rights reverted to me from the original publisher.
