APA no longer shows me the actual paper, authors, abstract etc when I click on a paper in a search engine. Everything gated now, including basic paper info. Screenshots: (1) search hit (2) resulting APA site. Tried for a few papers now. What on Earth.

I started the authorship conversation with a collaborator and part of their response was "I feel like the project would still exist without my contributions", indicating to them that they shouldn't be a co-author. That's far too high a bar for authorship IMO. For the ultimate (to my mind farcical)

Maybe I'm not irritating enough people in my field with my lengthy responses to academic editors inviting me to edit for Elsevier 🤔 So I've added this to my own invitation letter, inviting people to review for @collabrapsychology.bsky.social (the official journal of #SIPS2026).

Anybody who's not a fraudster or pub mill-ster used an AI agent yet to submit a manuscript to a journal? I got 74 co-authors' worth of info to enter. I asked for permission to upload the author info later, but I'm stuck emailing for months with a QA person or AI who doesn't understand things.

I assigned random gender/ethnicity labels to scientific abstracts from the literature and then asked Claude to do a thematic analysis. Claude identified a clinical versus computational split for female/male authors and a DEI focus for Black/URM authors. All in completely random data.
