Please check it out! In this paper with lead author- Tess Leathers- we visualized the expression of enzymes that regulate the COX-mediated inflammation pathway during embryonic development. We are continuing to study this pathway to discover its early roles in brain and neural crest development!

So excited that our latest work is out! We have been working to understand how damaged tissue exits regeneration and returns to normal gene expression, and found a major role for the pioneer transcription factor Zelda in flies. Kudos to @anishbose.bsky.social @keatonschuster.bsky.social et al!

Harvard alum here to say that what happens to Univ of Maine and other public universities like it is way more important than anything financial that is happening to Columbia right now because Columbia can withstand the financial storm. and our public unis serve people Columbia wouldn’t sniff at.

Pretty sure mine won’t be happening but I am diligently reading the proposals anyway.

I maxed out my credit card, emptied my savings account, and took out a loan to move from Alabama to Bethesda, MD. I don’t even qualify for unemployment since I’ve only worked at NIH for a month. I will be financially and medically devastated. Seeking suggestions for anywhere that’s hiring!!

Ok study section people - I’m looking in the National Register under NIH and searching Center for Scientific Review or my SRO’s name, and there’s nothing since 1/21. Does this mean the study section I am working around the clock to read proposals for is almost certainly not happening?
