One of my Le Creuset lid knobs died tonight as I was rinsing it of suds. I thought these pots were near invincible. I've kicked the arse out this for 35 years, from bread to casseroles through cakes, risotto, soup and stews. So I'm off to buy a replacement knobs, which should outlive me 🤣

A pleasant Sunday morning as we worshipped together in the picture perfect St. Michael’s in Waynesboro as a needed rain fell outside. We had a great lunch afterward with time to visit. I am glad that the Rev. Noelle Raiford from Trinity in Statesboro served as the deacon in the liturgy. #episcopal ⚓️

Doubly blessed! Dolly & I went to the pet blessing at my parish. We have an outdoor chapel which is usually great for this but this year it was swarming with gnats. 10 minutes, asperged & dispersed. Then over to the Cathedral, which was a scene as always but blessedly gnat-free. Dolly was perfect! ⚓

Our cat had a great day getting blessed at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity here in Paris (part of the Episcopal Convocation of Europe). Many comments for how fluffy and how big he is. I’m pretty sure he was bigger than half the dogs who were there. ⚓️

My cat Yare died yesterday. He was the sweetest, gentlest creature I ever met, and was my best bud for 15 years. I miss him terribly.

Opening this door end - unbelievably- causes a whoosh of air down the entire passage, to same type of door behind me, knocking them open and shut. Which is super annoying when I’m trying to work in silence as I can hear them at the top of the building. I like silence more and more, as I get older.
