I recently met someone and they asked what I do for work. After I told him, he asked I knew of a specific affordable development in West Nashville. “Yes, Barnes funded that.” He said “you saved my friends life. She was struggling so much, couldn’t find her feet, and then she got a house there.”

One of the more embarrassing things in my life is how often I used this as an insult early in my career before I realized almost no one knew what I meant.

they view the most important part of sports as skills development. that to me is near last. i want my daughter to learn how to be part of a team. how to work hard. how to listen to her coaches. how to support kids with different skill levels. and most importantly, how to have fun being active.

not to discourse or whatever, I just think people need to calm down a little and imagine a beautiful world of possibilities.

It’s my opinion that there’s too many challenges being used. There needs to be restrictions. No challenges in the first half. No challenges on possession before the 4th quarter. No challenges on fouls before the 3rd foul.

I ran my first 50k Saturday and these were the conditions. I can’t complain since this was an entirely optional activity but I would have preferred a lot less mud.
