Success! Had to use the HomePod as the thread border router but it connected to HomeKit fine, then easy to add it to Home Assistant as a secondary controller. It fits my odd shaped windows ok and exposes as much as you’d expect to HA. Bonus - HomePod is central in the house so no extended needed! 🥳
