Reading a Persian text that gives a folk etymology for the Arabic موسى mūsá "Moses", as a compound of supposedly Syriac words mū (casket) + sá (water). Has anyone seen anything like this? Spurious of course, and no such words in Syriac AFAIK, but I'm curious if this myth is repeated elsewhere.
