16 Feb 1807 // 4-gun schooner HMS Jackdaw was chased and captured off northern Portugal by a Spanish ship. After an exchange of fire the Spaniard took up a raking position. 16 Feb 1941 // HM Trawler Ormonde was minesweeping with two other trawlers off Peterhead when a single German aircraft made a sudden attack and sank her with two bombs.
