So I just pulled my last 2 bulbs out of storage today for what I’m cooking. That’s how far 25 bulbs minus the 7 or 8 or so I gave away gets me apparently. Should have planted more a few weeks ago I guess since I planted roughly the same amount. Noted for next year I guess.

The call center at my job was a little crazy because it started at $20 an hour and they used to hit up college job fairs all the time so it was staffed with plenty of 20-25 year olds so it was always some drama we heard about. Now that it’s all remote, I wonder how it is.

K-Mart, woo boy was it a hot mess every day. I also worked there on 9/11 that was a weird day, just super quiet and dead until like 30 minutes before closing we had a rush of people buying gas cans to fill them up.

Question for my folks that cook plantain, what can you do with a yellow one? I can fry, roast or boil a green one and the super ripe black ones I’ll slice and fry. Would I just fry up the yellow ones?

I made a test batch of this apple, maple, habanero hot sauce with cinnamon, ginger and coriander and it’s really good. I’ll probably add more habaneros next time for more heat.

Went over to my uncles to watch the Packers game today. I brought over a pack of my hot links recipe that I’ve been tweaking for the last year. He’s the one that showed me how to make sausage so I cooked em on his grill and he tried em and he really liked them so I’m happy with that.

Last (probably not) hot sauce ferments of the year first picture is day 1 and the second is day 4 and you can see the lactobacillus bacteria working and making everything lighter in color. These have a ways to go before I actually make sauce out of them. And yeah I need to clean that wall off 😭
