We had planned a 2.5 km ride from 1 park to a recreation centre and back, Daniel and Abbie and myself quickly realized we needed to change up the route because a lot of the kids were on Balance bikes. Ford promised bike lane removals could happen today onward in TO (Bloor W, Yonge, & Uni). That means we’ve got to be vigilant & have our eyes open. If you see construction crews amassing to remove lanes, post/tag local cycling orgs & advocates. Send pictures. Be safe & don’t interfere.

True leadership requires more than just a recognition of the importance of transportation. It requires setting a vision, dedicating resources, laying the groundwork for success, and committing political capital, so that when the work gets tough, projects still get done.

Just over a month ago I posted about blocking a possible misogynistic, racist homophobe on my personal accounts. Today over on the other site I noticed he ran into someone who has been convicted of a hate-motivated verbal assault. This person let the person justify it by having a hard time.
